Billing questions
Will there be a paid plan later?
If there is one, it will be for hosted or team features, and the local CLI will stay free. We would rather not sell a subscription for something that runs on your laptop.
Do you collect telemetry?
No. Somcode does not phone home. Crash reports are off unless you turn them on, and there is no analytics script anywhere on this site.
What is the license?
The beta build is distributed under a source-available license. If you need the terms for a procurement review, email us and we will send the current text.
How is this funded?
It is not, really. We built Somcode for our own repositories and we are giving it away while we decide what it should grow into.
What is on the roadmap?
Windows support, a proper diff review view, and better handling of monorepos. The order depends on what beta users actually hit.
